Vacancy for a Midday Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our friendly Kitchen team and become one of our Kitchen Assistant/Midday Supervisor.

Lunchtime at Haydon Abbey is a very important part of the day when children have the opportunity to socialise with their peers. They enjoy eating their lunch in our new hall. Our Kitchen Assistants/Midday Supervisors play a very important role in supporting children in order that they have a successful time whilst eating their lunch in the hall.

We need people who are enthusiastic, caring, self-motivated and supportive. The role will involve on a rota basis: -

• preparing the dining room for lunch
• helping children in the dining hall to have an enjoyable experience
• encourage pupils to have good table manners and supporting them to eat their lunch
• serve school lunches
• washing and drying up of trays
• ensuring the hall is clean and tidy for afternoon lessons
• tidy and cleaning of food serving area and kitchen areas
• ensuring first aid resources are replenished

No previous experience is necessary for this role but it is essential that the successful candidate has a caring nature, is patient and has a flexible and positive approach to working with children.

The role will be three hours a day and dependent on rotas the hours will be between 10:30am to 2:30pm.  The hourly pay is currently £11.98 per hour which is Bucks Pay range 1 point 5.
