Changes for Reception Children Attending Breakfast Club From

Monday 18 September 2017

Dear Parents and Carers

Can I first thank you for your patience and understanding with all the changes that have occurred as a result of the building work. I know it will all be worth it when we have our new improved premises. However I am writing to inform you of another change that will affect some parents.

As you know Reception children are currently attending Breakfast Club in the main school and then walking over to the Holman Street site. However due to the increase in the number of Reception children that are attending Breakfast Club this year we are going to set up a Breakfast Club for them at the Holman Street site. This will completely mirror everything that they do in the Breakfast Club in the main school. Reception Breakfast Club will begin on Monday 18 September.

Breakfast Club will begin at 7:45 am and children will be admitted until 8:45 am. After 8:45 am children will not be admitted until school opens at 9:00 am. Children will access Breakfast Club through the Nursery entrance.

We anticipate when all the building work is complete Reception children will return to the main school and re-join the main Breakfast Club.

If you have any concerns about this please do not hesitate to let me know.

Yours sincerely

Times for Main School

Breakfast Club is fully funded by the school and is open from 7:45 am each morning for all children in Reception to Year 6.  Children should arrive from 7:45 am until 8:00 am when registration takes place.  Please enter the school via the main reception - food will only be served until 8:15 am.  We will admit late arrivals to Breakfast Club until 8:30 am.  Children arriving any later than that will need to wait at the school gates until  8:45 am when school opens for the day.

Breakfast Club provides a really good start to the day for those parents who have difficulty in balancing home and work arrangements.  Breakfast is offered including fruit, cereal or yoghurt and, milk or fruit juice to drink.  There are a range of activities for your children to participate in, including a quiet area for reading or homework.    If you would like your child to attend, please complete the registration form and hand it in to the office.
