Forest School Days

FOREST SCHOOL

On their Forest School day, children should arrive at school in their normal school uniform.

They need to bring in to school a change of clothes in a named bag.

Commencing Monday 15 April 2024

2NR - Monday afternoons

4SH - Wednesday afternoons

3SJ - Friday afternoons

Classes that have not had a session yet will participate in the Summer Term - further details will follow accordingly

Please make sure ALL children have warm, old clothes - long sleeved tops, joggers, wellies, waterproof jacket if wet,

sun hat, and sun cream applied before school if the weather is warmer - as they will do Forest School in all weathers.

ALL CLOTHING TO BE NAMED

Most of the children enjoy climbing the trees and playing in the mud, so please make sure the clothes worn

are suitable for getting dirty.

Some of the activities the children enjoy include, den building, climbing trees, creative baking in the mud pit and

mud kitchen and in the final week of Forest School the children have a Fire Session. In the Fire Session,

Reception and Year 1 will be toasting marshmallows and making s’mores and Year 6 will be making camp fire bread.
