    School uniform

    Haydon Abbey School and Pre-School Uniform

    From Pre-School to Year 6 children wear their school uniform with pride at Haydon Abbey School. In the main school it is expected that children wear the traditional school uniform for three days a week and the PE uniform on their two PE days.  Children are encouraged to wear uniform with the school logo. If school logo uniform is not worn then uniform needs to be in the school colours. School uniform can either be bought at PL School Wear or other retailers. The PTA regularly sell second hand school uniform.      


    Winter Uniform

    Dark grey skirt, pinafore dress or long dark grey school trousers
    Pale blue polo shirt
    Haydon Abbey jumper/cardigan
    Kameez (optional) - dark grey
    Hijab - one piece - royal blue, if worn 
    Haydon Abbey Fleece (outdoor wear - optional)
    White or grey socks
    Black shoes only - high heels and boots are not permitted

    Summer Uniform

    Summer blue and white gingham dress - optional

    Summer grey school shorts

    Pale blue polo shirt

    Year 5 and Year 6

    White shirt

    Haydon Abbey V neck jumper/cardigan

    Blue & yellow Haydon Abbey striped tie

    Dark grey skirt, pinafore dress or long dark grey school trousers


    PE UNIFORM 

    Children are to come dressed in their school PE Uniform on their PE days -

    they will remain in these clothes all day

    Pale blue t-shirt (school logo)
    Black or navy blue shadow striped shorts

    Navy sweatshirt (school logo or plain)

    Navy joggers
    Socks
    Trainers – essential (for outdoor PE)
    Plimsolls – optional (for some indoor PE)
    Dark, plain tracksuit (optional)

    PE bag

    Jewellery is not allowed with the exception of one pair of stud earrings but these must be removed for PE and swimming. In Key Stage 2, watches are permitted. Any items which fall outside the category of everyday school use should NOT be brought into school, if you are in any doubt please ask.


    Haircuts should be sensible. Hair colours, shaved heads, marks into the hair etc. are not permitted.
