Teaching Assistant - Pre-School

8:30am - 3:45pm (30 minute paid lunch break) Term Time Only

Bucks Pay Range 1B Point 6 (£17383 pro-rata)

 

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our friendly Pre-School. Our Pre-School is sited in a purpose built premises adjacent to the school. They are extremely well resourced and provide excellent provision for our youngest children as well as a warm and inviting working environment.  Previous experience of working with children in a Pre-School or Nursery is not necessary but would be desirable.  Candidates need to be able to work with our youngest children and have a willingness to engage with the whole school community. A good level of English and Maths skills is essential. Ideally applicants would hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification; however the right person would be considered for the role without this.  

 

The successful candidate will:

  • have responsibility for a key group of children
  • support small groups of children with their learning
  • work within a team
  • prepare resources
  • support children in a pastoral role
  • develop positive relationships with parents
  • share good practice with Early Years colleagues
  • maintain the ethos and high expectations of the school
  • implement all aspects of the EYFS curriculum 

 

Training and support will be an ongoing aspect of the role.

Learning Support Assistants in Key Stages 1 and 2

8:15am – 3:00pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break) Term Time Only

We are very well resourced across all areas of the curriculum and are committed to providing the best possible education for our children.

 

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative and innovative people to join our dynamic school where children are at the forefront of everything we do.  We have an excellent record of developing all members of staff and can offer you high quality and tailored professional development in order to pursue, and develop your role.   

 

Applicants may be required to support the learning in classes or to provide support for individual children. We are also looking for the right people to support children with special educational needs. The position will entail working with children from Year 1 to Year 6. Experience of working with children in this age group is desirable but not essential. Candidates need to have a willingness to engage with the whole school community. A good level of English and Maths skills is essential.

 

The role will include:

 

  • working alongside class teachers in a specific phase in the school   
  • supporting small groups of, and/or individual, children with their learning
  •  being responsible for the learning and achievement of children you work with
  •  supporting children in a pastoral role
  • working within a team
  • demonstrating high expectations for children
  • withholding the school values at all times
  •  being highly professional

 

You will be joining an existing team of supportive Learning Support Assistants. Training and support will be an ongoing aspect of the role. Please specify in your application your preferred age range of children you would like to support.
