Teaching Assistant – Pre-School and Nursery - Holman Street Site

8:45 am – 4:00 pm (30 minute paid lunch break) Term Time Only

Bucks Pay Range 1B Point 6 (£16,032 pro-rata)


We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our friendly Pre-School and Nursery. Our Pre-School and Nursery are sited in a purpose built premises adjacent to the school. They are extremely well resourced and provide excellent provision for our youngest children as well as a warm and inviting working environment.  Previous experience of working with children in a Pre-School or Nursery is not necessary but would be desirable.  Candidates need to be able to work with our youngest children and have a willingness to engage with the whole school community. A good level of English and Maths skills is essential. Ideally applicants would hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification; however the right person would be considered for the role without this.  


The successful candidate will:


  • have responsibility for a key group of children
  • support small groups of children with their learning
  • work within a team
  • prepare resources
  • support children in a pastoral role
  • develop positive relationships with parents
  • share good practice with Early Years colleagues
  • maintain the ethos and high expectations of the school
  • implement all aspects of the EYFS curriculum. 


Training and support will be an ongoing aspect of the role.


Visits to the setting are warmly welcomed and recommended.
