SCHOOL CLOSURE PROCEDURE FOR ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS

Re: School Procedures for Adverse Weather Conditions

As you are aware snow is predicted over the next few days particularly Thursday evening into Friday morning. Please keep a check on the weather forecast regularly and be prepared for disruption/school closures and ensure that someone is available to pick up your children.

If a decision is made to close the school out of hours we will inform Bucks County Council who update the Bucks CC School Closure website https://closures.buckscc.gov.uk/

Things you can do to check if school is closed:-

· Check the school closure website before setting off for school

· Listen to Mix 96 radio

· Check your eSchools notifications/text message as we will send out a message as soon as we are able to. However, it is possible that this system could go down.

Please note that the Bucks CC website will give you ‘live’ information (so refresh your screen regularly). This information then feeds through to Mix 96. Please do not rely on a text message and do not phone the school as no one will be there.

Should snow fall or be predicted whilst children are at school and a decision is made to close early due to adverse weather conditions, we will send an urgent text message asking you to collect your children. This information will also be posted on the Bucks CC school closures website https://closures.buckscc.gov.uk/

Whilst we appreciate that this may be inconvenient, as always, our priority is for the safety of our children and staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please take care and stay safe in the bad weather.
