Year 6 SATs – Week commencing 14 May 2018
We would like to invite the Year 6 children into school for a nice - free - breakfast each morning of their SATs tests, which are outlined below:
Monday 14th May - English grammar, punctuation and spelling papers
Tuesday 15th May - English Reading
Wednesday 16th May - Mathematics Papers 1 (Arithmetic) and 2 (Reasoning)
Thursday 17th May - Mathematics paper 3 (Reasoning)
We will provide them with a selection of breakfast items to choose from such as toast, brioche, fruit, hot chocolate, tea and the like. They are welcome to join us from 8:00 am each day in the Year 6 classrooms after they have signed in at the main reception.
They have all worked so hard towards their SATs tests and we are really proud of their efforts. Can we please ask that during the week of their SATs the children have an early night so that they wake up refreshed and ready for their tests. We would encourage them to join us each morning as this helps to settle the children and prepare them for the tasks ahead whilst alleviating any concerns or worries that they may have.
Further information about the SATs tests can be found on the School website under Our Curriculum tab on the home page. Then click on Assessment from the drop down menu. Go right to the bottom of the page to find the Information leaflet and useful videos. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for your continued support.

YEAR 4 FOREST SCHOOL - SUMMER TERM
Friday 29th March 2018
Dear Parents / Carers
Next term, it is Year 4’s turn to have Forest School sessions. The Year 4 classes will have sessions on alternate weeks starting with 4SW on Thursday 19th April.
Children need to wear their school uniform as normal and bring their Forest School clothes in a named bag to be hung on their pegs in the cloakroom. Please ensure their Forest School clothes are in school every week in case we have to swap sessions around.
To take part in Forest School this term the children will need a change of clothing as they will get very muddy. May we suggest they bring at least;
A long sleeved top or jumper
A waterproof coat
An extra pair of socks (these may get wet and dirty and so will need to be changed)
A pair of leggings/tracksuit bottoms
A pair of sturdy boots or wellies
A pair of waterproof trousers if you have them
A hat, a scarf and gloves (until the weather improves)
We always need adult volunteers to join us in Forest School. Even if you can’t make all of the sessions any help would be greatly appreciated. Please let your child’s class teacher know if you can volunteer for any of the sessions.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff.
