A small number of children visited the Tate Gallery in London and were incredible ambassadors for Haydon Abbey as they toured the Gallery. Most of the children said the portrait section was their favourite section and they really enjoyed being able to do their own master pieces.
Mrs Lewis and her team relaid these beautiful tables for each serving (there were three), so all hands on deck, when the children were seated and served by the teaching staff. What a wonderful atmosphere and the children really loved their chocolate log.

Children in Key Stage 2 were asked to design a safety poster before the summer holidays - representatives from the BAM Construction Site (Contractors building the new St Michael's School next door) judged the posters and came to present the winners with a £10 book voucher on Thursday 4 October 2018
